With Wings and Roots is a transnational initiative that has existed since 2007 and is active in various countries and across borders. As the legal and fiscal sponsor for many activities, the association With Wings and Roots e.V., registered in Germany, was founded in 2022 – registered in 2022 at the Charlottenburg District Court under VR 39514 B
2. Statutes and information on the organizational goals
With Wings and Roots is an initiative of media makers, educators and cultural practitioners in the US, Europe and beyond. We work together to change the debates around migration and belonging through storytelling and critical history. We produce films, videos, timelines on critical migration history, installations and events. We offer workshops, curricula and other educational materials.
In an era of widespread anti-immigrant policies, we believe that different and diverse histories are essential for building solidarity and sustainable concepts of belonging. The initiative aims to strengthen the power of young people, migrant communities and people in solidarity to fight racism and create belonging for all.
